Helping everyday people  make changes that stick

WE'RE A TEAM OF HEALTH AND FITNESS COACHES

We are helping everyday people learn how to eat well, stay active,  and develop habits that last a lifetime.

Our goal: educate the general population in nutrition and guide them on how to apply this knowledge for their personal health and fitness goals.

Whether you’re an overwhelmed parent, busy college student, retired, or somewhere in-between, and you're looking to optimize your nutrition and health, you've come to the right place.

Hard House aims to be the go-to resource for nutrition and lifestyle coaching for active individuals.

Our mission will be accomplished through:

Throw out everything you know about health coaching.

#1 Creating a one-on-one nutrition coaching service with high client satisfaction and success rate.

#2 Creating a membership filled with on-demand workshops and resources for clients and non-clients alike to improve themselves outside of coaching.

#3 Reduce disordered eating and weight regain by incorporating behavior change principles in our coaching and offering life-changing, evidence-based perspectives surrounding food and exercise.

We've helped hundreds of individuals, including:

Everyday gym goers
Stay at home moms
Graduate students
Active duty military
First responders
Retired, empty nesters

Newly postpartum
Ultramarathoners
Powerlifters, CrossFitters
Nightshift nurses
Psychologists and Dietitians
Sedentary individuals
... and more

Our client's needs, lifestyles, and goals vary across the board. Our coaches each possess unique talents and skills to help the diversity of individuals that come through our door.

No more searching high and low to find the right macros, or spending endless hours (and money) trying to learn how to duct tape together a nutrition or fitness plan on your own. It's time you had direction, an action plan customized with your specific needs in mind, so that you can stop running on the diet hamster wheel and finally start seeing results.

They say quick fixes never work. They don't.

our superpower

Understanding nutrition is the just first step. Actually helping you put it into practice is what we do best.

Accountability
Social support and accountability is the bedrock for long-term change. Our environments play an integral role in what we do or don't do, and our coaches are a great resource for the accountability clients desire and deserve.

Patriot Inspired
Our coaches belong to military and first responder families. The honorable and relentless fighters we know and love motivate us to exemplify the same values of work ethic, resilience, and perseverance in our every day life.

Collaboration
A mediocre coach tells you what to do, but a great coach collaborates with you, leveraging their client's personal experience with evidence-based protocols that will help bridge the gap between where they are now and where they want to go. We support our client's autonomy in their program and goals!

Evidence-Based
Our holistic approach to every client is informed by the objective evidence provided by the scientific community, both in the nutritional and psychological sciences. We reject polarizing nutrition ideologies and will never trade dollars for what is the flavor of the month. Our community deserves better.

our brand values

Family Oriented
Our coaches have the honor of being mothers and raising families. We aim to  lead by example by embodying the necessary skills of prioritizing our health and fitness while simultaneously running our households well. It's not one or the other, it's both. #WorkLifeBalance

Belonging
You can sit with us. The diversity in backgrounds and lifestyles is what makes our team and clients special. Cultivating a space that embraces each other's uniqueness is what ultimately make us stronger. Not only is this crucial to a well-rounded community, we prefer it!

We're About

Evidence-based, autonomy-driven, hands-on, responsible, health-promoting, integrity and general well-being

NOT ABOUT

Quick fixes, low calories,  gimmicks, diet culture, moralizing food, "at all costs" protocols

Sarah's speciality is combining nutrition science and the psychology of behavior change so that clients can make lifestyle changes that stick. When she's not coaching clients, Sarah mentors other coaches (including the HHN team) in addition to fulfilling her role as Program Mentor for the accredited Health Mindset Coach Certification.

Behind the scenes, Sarah is a mom of two middle schoolers, hybrid athlete, avid reader, amateur gardener, and aspiring rancher.

Alaina's journey with hormonal issues that led to years-long struggle with amenorrhea inspires her work to help women fuel appropriately and put health first. Alaina especially enjoys working with newly post-partum moms and helping women feel good in their skin.

Alaina is a wife to a veteran and mom to a toddler. She enjoys a variety of fitness, but CrossFit is her main beau. Alaina's Christian faith is her north star and guides her nutrition and self-care practices.

Sandi is an experienced CrossFit and nutrition coach, and enjoys working with general population athletes who struggle with under-eating and over-exercising. Sandi's history of eat less/move more negatively impacted her health and relationship with food, and has experienced first hand how learning to fuel appropriately and find a responsible balance with exercise is life-changing.

Sandi is a wife to a fireman, mother of two boys under 4.

Alexa has a long competitive history, having run 50+ ultra-marathons and competing at CrossFit Regionals. After retiring from competition, Alexa enjoys fitness variety through lifting heavy and incorporating metcons into her everyday training, and teaches her clients how to do the same.

Alexa is a wife and homeschool mom of three and expecting child number 4. She enjoys meal prepping and calls herself "earthy crunchy". Alexa loves programming and helping clients optimize their health, physique, and performance.

Shelly truly embraces the active lifestyle. Through yoga, biking, and weightlifting, Shelly thrives with helping women feel like themselves again, improve their health, and lose unwanted weight. She's places special emphasis on nutritious foods and loves working with clients with different dietary needs such as plant-based, gluten-free, etc.

Shelly is a wife and mom to a successfully launched son. She spends her free time with friends at her family cabin and is currently working through her yoga teacher certification.
